Water-saving irrigation device is a technological equipment system centered on the efficient utilization of water resources and spanning the entire agricultural irrigation process. It significantly improves irrigation water utilization and agricultural production efficiency by reducing seepage losses during water transmission and distribution and deep seepage during field irrigation. In terms of equipment composition, a complete water-saving irrigation system mainly includes three components: the headworks (water pumps, filtration devices, fertilization devices, and metering instruments), the water transmission and distribution network (main pipes, branch pipes, and capillary pipes), and the end-point emitters.
Among the core technology types, modern water-saving irrigation devices have formed a multi-level and multi-scenario technology system: sprinkler irrigation technology uses mechanical nozzles to spray pressurized water into fine droplets, which are evenly sprayed onto crops and the ground surface, and has advantages such as water saving, labor saving and strong adaptability; drip irrigation uses a low-pressure pipeline network to accurately deliver water to the roots of crops, and also has the function of simultaneous water and fertilizer application, and is widely used in fruit trees, vegetables and field crops; micro-irrigation, as a general term for drip irrigation, micro-sprinkler irrigation, spring irrigation and seepage irrigation technologies, realizes local precision irrigation of the crop root zone under small flow.
